It can happen, especially after application or system crash that SRT client always return this error. The solution is to remove the "state.hed" file located under the following path
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\SimRacingTools\{00283EAE-7950-4B0F-9D31-64A5938D2B07}
assuming that the operating system is under C: \ and replacing [user] with your windows user.
